Ganeša Pãtašala offers a wide range of classes on Saturdays – covering academic subjects, religious topics, Indian languages, Math and Computer Science.

Pãtašala Saturday Schedules

Saturday classes are offered from 8:30 AM onward. Students can attend any subject listed below after registration. We encourage students to attend all subjects on Saturday. Students will have to choose one language as all languages are conducted during the same time.

TO BE DECIDED – Math Tutoring (Grades K – 8)
8:30 AM to 9:25 AM – Sanskrit for Children ( All Levels) – Register here
9:30 AM to 9:55 AM – Bhajans (All Grades)
10:00 AM to 10:25 AM – Sloka Chanting (All Grades)
10:30 AM to 11:25 AM – Religion (All Grades)
11:30 AM to 12:25 PM – Languages: Hindi
11:30 AM to 12:25 PM – Languages: Tamil
11:30 AM to 12:25 PM – Languages: Telugu
11:30 AM to 12:25 PM – Languages: Kannada
1:00 PM to 1:55 PM – Science (3rd – 8th Grade)
*3:00 PM to 3:55 PM – Sanskrit for Adult Students (Level 1) – no prior knowledge of Samskritam is required. Knowledge of any Indian language is a big plus! – Register here
*Sanskrit classes (Adults level 1) is a group class that requires at least ten (10) enrolled students in order to run a group course. In the event of low enrollment, the course will be cancelled(and refund given) or postponed to a different date.

Academic Year

Saturday classes are offered from September to June every year.

Requested Donation

$160 per year for one student
$135 per year for each sibling

Academic year 2023-2024 : Classes will begin ONLINE on September 30, 2023 (Saturday)

What types of payments are accepted?

Parents may pay by check in the name of The Hindu Temple Society of North America or by credit/debit card or cash.

Where is Ganeša Pãtašala located?

Currently Patasala is closed for on-site visits – Ganeša Pãtašala is located above Saraswati Hall, across from the Temple – 45-52 Bowne Street. For directions to the Temple, see here

Mid-term Enrollments

Enrollment ends on December 31st of every year.

Visiting the Pãtašala?

Currently Patasala is closed for on-site visits. Parents who are interested to enroll their children may visit Ganeša Pãtašala on a Saturday during Pãtašala hours and meet a coordinator.

What other courses are offered at Ganeša Pãtašala?

In addition to Saturday classes, Ganeša Pãtašala also offers Fine Arts Activities:

  • Bharatanatyam dance classes
  • Kathak dance classes
