Schedules for RIG & YAJUR UPĀKARMA – 2026
There will be one session for Rig Veda Upãkarma (8:00 am) and one session for Apastamba Yajur Veda Upãkarma (8:00 am) .
Rig Upãkarma – August 26, 2026 (Wednesday)

Bramha Yajnam, Utsarjanãnga Homam, Mahã Sankalpam, Tarpanam, Homam, Veda Vyãsa Pooja, Yajnopaveeta Dhãranam, Veda Ãrambham, Úeervãdam.
Ãpastamba Yajur Upãkarma – September 26, 2026 (Saturday)*
FIRST AND ONLY SESSION 8:00 AM
Kãmokãrshith Japam, Brahma Yajnam, Mahã Sankalpam, Yajnopaveeta Dhãranam, Khãndarishi Tarpanam, Veda Vyãsa Pooja, Homam, Veda Ãrambam, Úeervãdam.

PLEASE NOTE:
*A partial Lunar Eclipse occurs on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
Due to this Grahana Dosha, Yajur Upãkarma cannot be performed on that day. It must therefore be observed as follows:
- For Ãpastamba Sutra followers: Postponed to Saturday, September 26, 2026
(Poornima prevalent at sunrise)
- For Bodhãyana Sutra followers: Preponed to Wednesday, July 29, 2026
(Poornima prevalent at sunrise)
Gayatri Japam: To be observed by all – Rig, Yajur (Bodhãyana & Ãpastamba), and Sãma Vedis on Friday, August 28, 2026, irrespective of the Upãkarma date.
We request all devotees to kindly take note of the above and observe the rituals accordingly.
Adherence to the following instructions must be maintained – Online booking is given below.
- Yajur Upãkarma will be performed behind the Temple (Yãgašãla Tent).
- Rig Upãkarma will be performed in Kubera Hall.
- Those who arrive late will NOT BE PERMITTED to participate, no exceptions!
- Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled session.
- Please wash your hands and/or use sanitizer before entering the premises.
Gayatri Japam (Rig, Sãma, Yajur) – August 28, 2026 (Friday)
8:15 am – Šri Gãyatri Japam and Homam.
10:00 am – Šri Gãyatri Abhishekam.
