Ãni Thirumanjanam: Lord Natarãja (the dancing image of Lord Šiva) is believed to give daršan in Ãni (June/July) and Mãrgazhi (Dec/Jan). There are six seasons in a year - early and late winter, early and high summer, fall and rainy seasons, and six periods in a day - dawn, morning, noon, afternoon, evening and night. Six daily poojas are done in temples. Lord Natarãja is given six abhishekams a year. One of these is the ãni thirumanjanam which is the pradosha abhishekam on the evening of the day when the Uttiram nakshatra occurs in Ãni (June/July).
